Going to Interop and one of the training secessions is for Wireshark. No knowledge of Wireshark is required for the class, but I think I will get more out of it with some familiarity. Apr 16, 2013 - The name of the certification was the WCNA, or Wireshark Certified Network Analyst. Anyone have a recommendation of an entry level Wireshark book? Do all the exercises during the class. Still haven't taken the exam though. Knowing that I was going to be tested on that type of material, I poured through every chapter of Laura Chappell's unbelievably well written book. Labs are good, do them, maybe more than once. So I am thinking a Pretty great series. After passing the exam, I wrote an article that outlined my opinion on the Certification Process as well as the value of the certification. I had a handful of people ask me why I would pursue on protocol analysis and protocol characteristics.
